This week's featured film is The Killing of Randy Webster. This film marks the feature film debut of both Sean Penn and Jennifer Jason Leigh, who would both later go on to bigger and better things like Fast Times. It also features the southern lady from "Designing Women".

The Hollywood Reporter commented: "....extremely powerful scenes....taut exciting"

I'm not sure what "taut exciting" means, but if this film lacks anything, it is full frontal nudity. Just kidding, but I do think it was a TV movie that someone released on video after Penn and Leigh became more well known.

Either way, this is a movie about a kid who gets in a fight with his girlfriend, steals a van, and proceeds to get shot by a bunch of cops. After that, the Designing Women lady freaks out and tries to find out why the cops would do something like this to her deadbeat weasel of a son.

So, if you want to impress your friends by seeing a film that is no good but features some people who went on to be famous, I suggest you dig deep and scour eBay for this gem.
