Gome of the Week
Why don't they show the Simpsons at 6 anymore?

I don't know who's to blame for this miscarriage of justice, so I am pointing a blind finger, but really, Just Shoot Me just ain't that freakin' funny.

Once a day is not enough for the greatest show of all time.

Is anyone tired of me bitching about TV programming yet? Because it is really sad that I care so much.

I just get restless in really lazy ways.

This Week's Link That's Probably Not That Great
Am I Annoying? - Rate all your favorite and least favorite celebrity-musician-famous type people. Pretty funny.

This Week's Movie You've Probably Never Seen
Hammered: The Best of Sledge (1988)

I can't believe I used to watch this show with my parents. Anyway, I hadn't seen it in a long damn time and threw it in tonight and found myself laughing pretty hard at it. Zucker brothers/ B-Movie comedy type stuff starring a bunch of people you've never heard of that apparently never found work again.

Sure, they kind of cross some lines at times, but it is about 15 years old. I think.

And the best part: No laugh track. So sweet.

Right now I'm watching the episode where Sledge Hammer hangs out with an Amish family, makes out with the daughter, and then gets them to shoot automatic weaponry. Good times.

And the theme song is by Danny Elfman. Of course.

This Week's Record You're Probably Not Listening To
Men At Work - Cargo (1983)

Ah, the awkward sophomore albums are always the best ones, aren't they? Men at Work are really one of the best bands to come out of the 80's and this is their crowning achievement.

Includes two of my favorite songs of theirs, "Overkill" and "It's a Mistake". Not the huge success that their debut was, and it might have something to do with the fact that this record really has a terrible, terrible cover.

But the music is so damn sweet. If you have a turntable, you can find this gem on vinyl for no more than two dollars at almost any record store.

This Week's Hip New Slang Word or Phrase
unloading the groceries - Vomiting.

Origin - Like the Dingo Warrior, from parts unknown.

Usage - "Dude, how was your party this weekend?"

"Oh dude, it was pretty trump tight. But, uh, I drank way too much whiskey and made out with this 39 year old coug from the Couv. Then I went outside and unloaded my groceries in the neighbor's yard."

"Dude, weak. But then again, dude, sweet."

"I know, right?"
